Just As It Started Earlin Out

Earl dropped by for a visit last weekend, and brought some interesting surf to the Maine coastline. Some of the shots from the night tropical storm Earl rolled in with a big fog bank and ten foot waves. Read - I almost fell off the cliff in the deep fog to get some of these shots.

Aspiring Actor / Model Session

A local aspiring actor and model came in to the studio this weekend for a standard portrait session to get prints for his agencies references. While we can do straight head shots, we prefer to spice life up a little bit and have some fun with our photos. Seaside Train Tracks

We took a trip out on one of the last really beautiful days of summer here in Maine last weekend to venture out on a landscape session. With the focus in mind of photographing some of Maine's past eras that still exist in one form or another. The (and I'll borrow a phrase from one of my favorite photographers - Zack Arias) GOYA shoot - read get off your ass shoot - is something that we do every few weeks to keep our photography eyes sharp and remember to take a minute and really look at the nuances of the world around us. My favorite make up artist Genevieve was in the studio today and we brought some friends in to play around with the fantastic MAC makeups she always brings with her. Gen is from the Boston, MA area and available for brides and bridesmaids for their important wedding days. A few shots from the MAC session that show off her work fantastically.

Jenna stopped by for her beach senior photo session today, and she brought the sun with her! We met up with Jenna at one of our favorite beach locations but had to wait out a quick rain storm. Just as the clouds were breaking, low tide provided us with a great opportunity to get out into the tall grass. We absolutely love seniors who aren't afraid to get out and try new locations!

Lens Caps For Photographers

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I am on a location shoot and can not find the lens cap after i'm done shooting. I've lost them countless number of times in various locations, but can never seem to find them again. One of the best parts abou Ebay is that you can find direct low cost alternatives to many things. Lens caps can be affordable if you know where to look. I've ordered 10 lens caps to keep at the studio at all times just so I have a lens cap when and where I need it.
