i noticed they have wide angle lens and macro lens for sale.. does the nikon 35mm or 50mm have a built in wide angle or it is a wide angel because they don't specify that it is or not.. researching this is confusing because if i look up wide angle, then these adapter type pop up.. please specify more on what i am unaware of. thanks.. i am currently in the market for a dslr, nikon to be exact.. and can't seem to find what lens is good enough.. looking for a 35mm or 50mm and a 35-70mm 2.8.

'ello!, I have a video question. I'm going to be filming a very minimal movie in front of a totally white background, and my cast will be in all white clothing. How did you light for your video? It looks nice and even and bright. I'd be very grateful. Keeping it very white is important as I'm going to usie a lot of Matts to extend the set in post.

I love your videos but what about the medium between 16mm and 70-200mm, a 24-70mm works great too for portraits but on the long end its not a "wide" lens and doesn't really have much or any distortion. Still the 70-200 is my dream lens...

Take a look at the 70-200 F4 IS L lens too, that 4 stops of IS is impressive on the long end of the lens. Sharp one

lol Cute dog!I love my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, I think everyone who is interested in portraits photography should have one, it's perfect and just like you said you don't have to move around to get closer or far from the model. I also love the 85mm f/1.8, its affordable lens and just fantastic with a great dof effect :)

well on the crop factor issue i agree with mattlew, i've used the 70-200 on a 5d and on a xti and there is a HUGE diference, i tend to use the xti when i'm not that close to the subjecton that body the 70-200 is like a 112-320

i am also a professional photographer... i also love the 70-200mm f/2.8L lens...i have both.. the USM one is very good but sometimes that IS comes in handy when the light is much lower...but studio photgraphy with light/strobe setup makes it no different. So i am the same when it comes to 70-200 for portrait photography. Great Choice! |
