The best..!! I have seen JW play live several times, his enjoyment is plain to see. His phrasing and control of his instrument is par excellence! In my own experience in life, anyone who can make a difficult task look effortless, has usually put in many hours of work, so that to the onlooker, it appears mere routine and as natural, as breathing......Thanks John for letting us share your passion and love of the instrument.....and of course.... the music..... Bravo!

Just type in Lang Lang plays Liebestraum, and tell me thats not annoying to watch, there is just no need for it, and I am sorry but its not unconsciously done either!

It's not always about thinking "I will now pull a face." Some people react differently. I tend to unconsciously assume an expression or even a stance when I play. However, people who do it deliberately are indeed fuckholes.

No feeling?? all I get is chills from this. now thats FEELING.

Spot on my friend! I hate idiots who play an instrument and pull faces all the time as if they are having multiple orgasms, they are trying to put themselves above others as if to say look at me I am feeling things mere mortals never will. Why make such a huge point of showing everyone how you are feeling, its so fake, I hate Lang Lang mainly because of his ridiculous face pulling antics! You are right, williams plays with tons of emotion, he just does not feel the need to pull funny faces.

Williams is second 2 none for technique

What precision. What mastery. I can only hope to strive for such accomplishment in my own life and trade. |
